Have A Go

Important Information

All “Have a go” activities are suitable for complete beginners. You do not need any previous experience OR licenses to participate in a “have a go session”
All “Have a go” sessions include everything required for the session. There are no “add ons” or “extras” required. All activity costs include absolutely everything you will need (Guns, ammunition, safety equipment and so on). The instructors will provide the appropriately sized guns / equipment for each person.
Only members of your booking will be in attendance of your session. We never mix groups/bookings together.
All “Have a go” sessions are instructor led. The costs include the instructor who will be with you for the entirety of your session.
It is important that everyone attending a “Have a go” session has a basic understanding of the English language. Due to the nature of the sport, safety is paramount and it is important that everyone understands what the instructors are asking of them.
Activities (excluding ‘practical’) are under a sheltered area, so you are protected from the majority of the weather.
Bookings must be made via email (ideally) or phone. We do not have an online booking system for “have a go” sessions.

Clay Shooting (Shotguns)

No maximum group size
Duration dependant on group size / number of shots (approx 1 hour per 100 shots as a guide)
Suitable for wheelchair users
Min age 10+

Clay shooting at clay targets which move through the air, using a shotgun and cartridges. Please see the video above for an example of what to expect from your session.

50 Shots = £90

2+ People

25 Shots = £50 each
50 Shots = £85 each

Full Bore (Rifles)

No maximum group size
Duration dependant on group size / number of shots (approx 1.5 hour for regular size booking)
Suitable for wheelchair users
Min age 14+

Full bore rifle shooting is shotting at static paper targets. 100 yards down range. Shooters are seated in the range. Please see the video above for an example of what to expect from your session. Please note. for adults, we do not recommend the bronze session. This option is added for younger people to join in and we highly recommend a minimum of the silver package for adults.

Air Rifle

No maximum group size
Duration dependant on group size / number of shots (up to 4 people, 1 hour as a guide)
Suitable for wheelchair users
Min age 8+

Your air rifle session includes using an air rifle to shoot at static metal targets on a 25yard range. Paper targets are available if desired. This session is recommended for younger people who are not old enough to participate in the other activities.
