9:45am – 2:30pm

To encourage young people into the sport of clay target shooting, we hold special days for young shooters.

The aim of YS days, are to provide high quality instruction, with a focus not only on providing a method to hit clay targets, but also on safety, responsibility and etiquette and of course, fun!

Young shots days are open to children up to the age of 16. We recommend a minimum age of 10 years for this event. Please contact us on 01353 648004 or info@cambridgegunclub.co.uk should you have any questions.

Young shots days include both clay shooting & air rifle shooting.

A brief overview of the young shots day :

  • Arrival; 9.45am
  • The day begins with a safety briefing delivered by a CPSA qualified instructor.
  • The youngsters are then grouped as necessary, depending on numbers – We group on ability/ages/heights. (If friends/family book in together, they can be grouped together)
  • Morning Shooting Session; Once the groups are organised, they’ll head to the range for the clay shooting section of the day. Instructors will then continue to demonstrate safety while out on the range, and the group will shoot, following the ‘method’ the instructors are teaching, to hopefully hit some targets.
  • Break for lunch
  • After lunch, they will head to the range for the air rifle shooting session
  • Finish time is expected to be between 2pm-2:30pm

Places are limited and must be pre-booked and pre-paid please.
